Young players sometimes have a hard time throwing good pitches. At some levels, coaches do all the pitching. That way, players can focus on hitting and fielding. The players will be ready to pitch when they are older.

The boy in red is trying to reach third base safely. The boy in blue is trying to stop him. His teammate throws him the ball. He catches it. He needs to turn around and tag the runner. But it is too late. The runner is already sliding into third base. He is safe.
