TITLE

Gymnasts often include flips in their routines. At first, gymnasts practice doing flips on the ground. They may start with a front flip. Later, they learn to do flips on balance beams. They practice flipping backward or Both feet must land on the beam.

Jumping and flipping can be hard on a person’s body. It is important for gymnasts to warm up before they get started. Gymnasts stretch before practicing or competing. Stretching helps muscles stay loose and flexible. That way, gymnasts are less likely to get hurt.
