TITLE

Ducks spend time in water, on land, and flying in the air. They live near fresh water ponds, lakes, and rivers.

Male ducks are brightly colored. They use their colors to attract females. Female ducks are much more plain. Their brown feathers help them hide from other animals. They can more easily protect their young. They can stay safe.
