TITLE

Muskrats can stay underwater for about 15 minutes. They move slowly on land, and they are faster at swimming. Muskrats like to be in places where the water is four to six feet deep. This includes ponds and marshes. Muskrats’ bodies can stay warm in cold water.

Muskrats eat different kinds of water plants. They eat the leaves, stems, and flowers. They hold the plant in their front paws. They chew on the food with their large teeth.
