View the monarch butterfly swarm in Mexico up close. A spy cam films half a billion butterflies waking up in a forest. It looks like magic.

The monarch butterfly is special. This type of butterfly only lays eggs on milkweed plants. So, it is important to protect milkweed. The monarch butterfly also travels from Canada to Mexico for the winter. This is called migration. When the summer comes, the butterflies travel back to the north! The whole trip can be 1,800 miles (3,000 km) long.
