TITLE

Listen to an experienced poultry keeper discuss the good and bad of caring for quail.

California quail are the state bird of California. They live in the wild along the Pacific coast from Canada to California. They form groups of 30 to 300 birds. They are small and round gray-brown birds. The plume on their heads is formed by six black feathers. Wild California quail often get all the water they need from the bugs they eat. This helps them survive in dry environments.
