Learn about the history of NASA and the topics it studies. Would you want to work for NASA someday?

Although NASA’s headquarters is in Washington D.C., it has bases across the country. Many spacecraft are launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at a place called the Kennedy Space Center. NASA’s command control center is in Houston, Texas. This base is called the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. NASA has 20 centers in total and about 18,000 employees.
