A closer look at Hades and Persephone.

The most famous river in the Underworld is River Styx. But there are four other rivers. Acheron was known as the River of Woe. Lethe was the river of oblivion. When the dead entered the underworld, they had to drink from Lethe to forget their earthly life. River Phlegethon was the river of fire. It traveled to the bottom of the underworld. Cocytus was the river of wailing. It cried for the souls who did not cross the Styx with Charon.
