Preserve, Protect, Connect – Assateague National Park

The National Mall is a large park in the middle of Washington, D.C. It is home to many important buildings and monuments. On one end of the mall is the US Capitol. On the other end is the Lincoln Memorial. This popular monument includes a marble statue of President Abraham Lincoln. The mall also features a tall obelisk called the Washington Monument. This tower is meant to honor President George Washington. In addition, museums such as the Natural History Museum lie along the mall.
