Listen to a catchy tune that lays out the Carbon Cycle! It will get stuck in your head.
The carbon dioxide molecule, or the tiniest piece of the material, is made of carbon and oxygen. Every molecule of CO2 has one carbon and two oxygen atoms. An atom is the smallest bit of matter that can exist on its own. In CO2, each oxygen atom is connected to the carbon atom. Humans need oxygen to live, but they can’t breathe CO2!
