Ducks are waterfowl. They are small, short-necked, and have large bills and web feet. Ducks can swim, fly, and walk. They walk with a waddle. Male ducks and female ducks look significantly different from each other. Ducks have three types of feathers. They are contour, flight, and down. Contour feathers act like shingles on a roof to protect ducks from wind and water.
