Football players have to work together to win games. On offense, the quarterback has to throw. Wide receivers have to catch. The linemen have to keep the defense away from the quarterback. They also have to block for the running back. The running back has to run away from defenders.

Players don’t have to wear pads during flag football. That’s because there is no tackling. Each player wears flags around his or her waist. The defenders must grab one of the flags. When that happens, the play is over.
