The Mary Celeste is the most famous ghost ship. In 1872, the ship was spotted adrift without any crew members aboard. It was meant to be sailing from New York to Italy. Its lifeboat was missing but all its food and supplies was still there. The mystery about what happened to the ship’s crew has inspired many wild tales.
