Pineapples are a healthy snack. They have several vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals help people grow and stay healthy. For example, pineapple contains vitamin C. This vitamin helps to keep people from getting sick. Pineapple also has manganese. This mineral keeps bones strong.

Many pineapples grow on plantations. Plantations are large areas of land. They grow one kind of plant. Farmers plant pineapples by hand. They plant them in rows. Pineapple plants need lots of sunlight. Each plant grows one pineapple at a time.
