TITLE

Plants grow almost everywhere on Earth. Rain forests have tall trees with a thick roof. Sun barely pushes through, but other plants grow in the shade. Deserts have plants that don’t need a lot of water to grow. Some ponds and lakes have plants that grow underwater. All life on earth depends on plants.

Thousands of foods come from plants. This photo shows a few of them. People eat carrot roots. They eat corn seeds. They eat the fruit from orange trees. They eat broccoli flower buds. They make bread from grains. Many other plants are added to foods to make them taste better.
