Jesus had 12 chosen disciples that he called Apostles. They were Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James, Jude, Thaddaeus, Simon, and Judas. They closely followed Jesus and were specially trained to spread his word. Some of the Apostles witnessed miracles like bringing a young girl back to life. Peter, James, and John were the most important Apostles.
