TITLE

Mount Rushmore is a monument dedicated to the founding and expansion of the United States. It shows four US presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Construction began in 1927 and ended in 1941.

Gutzon Borglum was the sculptor for the monument. He chose the four faces to be included on the mountain. He led the workers who did the carving. He did not live to see Mount Rushmore finished. His son, Lincoln Borglum, finished the monument instead.
