Alexander Hamilton was born in an island nation called St. Kitt’s and Nevis.
The people on the front of US paper money helped shape the country. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson, and Ulysses S. Grant were all presidents. Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin were not. Bills will look different soon. Women will appear on the backs of bills. Jackson will be moved to the back of the $20 bill. Harriet Tubman, a woman who fought for the freedom of slaves during the American Civil War, will replace Jackson on the front of the $20 bill.
