Sometimes police officers go on patrol. They drive around the city. They make sure people are following the law. Other times, police officers work at the police station. They may receive a call for help. The officers leave in their police cars. They drive to the person who needs help.

Police officers wear a uniform. Their uniform makes them easy to spot. The uniform includes a shirt and pants. The uniform may be blue, brown, or all black. Officers wear a metal badge. The badge goes on their chest. It shows that they are ready to serve.
